Our Story
I started on a quest five years ago to make a personalized deodorant for myself. I was looking for a product that did not plug the pores in my armpits with chemicals, waxes or other unnatural products causing painful swollen lumps in my armpit area. I wanted a product that lets my armpits just breathe enough to naturally cool me with no odor or painful lumps (blocked pores). I could not find the product I was looking for.
As I researched body odor and what causes it, I realized that the solution to the problem was simple. Body Odor (B.O.) was not caused by sweat but rather it was caused by a bacterium that feeds on a secretion from the apocrine gland in the armpits and other body areas. The bacteria itself gives off the foul odor (B.O.) so if you kill the bacteria, you kill the smell.
We have used Ionic Silver for years in our home to sanitize surfaces, so I started there. I researched then combined proven natural bacterial killing earth elements (silver, copper and two types of magnesium ) with bacteria killing plant based products ( Arrowroot, Witch Hazel, grain alcohol ) which also add a drying component to them thus creating LeBo . These ingredients have been used for centuries by Greek, Roman ,and Indigenous cultures and are still in use today in modern medicine . See ingredients section.
After countless formula changes of the seven different ingredients, and numerous trials, I have developed a personal deodorant that accomplishes everything I was looking for.
